• Local authorities
• The police and probation services
• HM prisons
• Homeless shelters
• GP surgeries and NHS
• Self-referrals

Southern Bridges are passionate about making all our homes a safe space for everyone. Entry requirements are that residents are clean, sober and are committed to an abstinence lifestyle. We engage in a careful process of assessment on both sides prior to admission.

Our staff will work together with the referred person holistically to agree a plan, and support them in their goals and aspirations. This may be reviewed at regular intervals and an exit plan agreed before the support is withdrawn.

What can you expect from our housing referrals?

• A dedicated key worker, who will spend time with you or the person you are referring putting a plan together on how to keep moving forward
• Supported housing in a shared house with properties in Southampton and Bournemouth
• Provide support to access other agencies such as mental health services, substance recovery, local authorities, education and training
• All our properties are fully furnished and are maintained to a high standard. There is a minimum of 6 months stay however, utility bills are covered.

We make an effort to try and respond to all housing referrals as soon as we can. In most instances, we will have a discussion with the referrer over the phone, and where appropriate make an appointment for an assessment to take place.
